Exploring Innovation at Layher Germany: A Game-Changing Visit for Everlast Scaffolding
The Everlast Scaffolding team recently spent a few inspiring days visiting Layher Germany, alongside Sean Pike, Heath Brown, and Katherine Fox from Layher Ltd (UK).
What started as a focus on system scaffold for the built environment quickly turned into something much bigger: a head full of ideas and possibilities for how Layher’s system can be applied across multiple industries and sectors.

From a Wooden Ladder to a Global Leader
One of the trip’s highlights was learning about Layher’s incredible journey. In just over 75 years, the company grew from designing a simple wooden ladder to becoming the world’s market leader in system scaffolding.
That story resonated strongly with Everlast. While the company is on a smaller scale, it shares the same commitment to quality, innovation, and people.

Seeing the Team in a New Light
The visit also gave the Everlast team a deeper appreciation of the people behind the division’s success. Observing how team members think, contribute, and collaborate outside the day-to-day site environment was invaluable.
