SPECIALIST SURVEYS

Analyse the problem – Deliver the solution

Today’s sophisticated technology aids for finite survey insights making it possible to deeply understand every aspect of a project. From drones to CCTV, to infrared cameras and lasers Everlast deploys the most appropriate tools for every survey type.

Reduce costs and save time

Significant annual maintenance cost reductions can be achieved with non-destructive roof moisture testing. Our range of Specialist Surveys and reporting options addresses any requirements pertinent to any new build or refurbishment project.

There is no place in modern construction for traditional manual methods, as much as there is no substitute for experience. Everlast brings together the deep insights of qualified surveyors and technology practitioners and the irrefutable evidence of data to give you exhaustive information on the true nature of your project requirements.

Solid foundations

Our surveys are non-destructive and can be carried out on new or existing flat roof systems.

The equipment we use provides accurate detection of all waterproofing defects utilizing testing methods for both wet and dry conditions. Following any survey, Everlast provides a detailed report or pre-handover certification on the condition of your waterproofing system. The report will include drawings and photographic documentation detailing the location and nature of any defects allowing targeted cost-effective repairs to restore waterproof integrity.

Specialist survey solutions

visual inspection
Everlast annual visual inspections — combined with corrective action for deficient conditions — are designed to help you extend the service life of any roof system. In addition, regular scheduled inspections are required by all manufacturers in order for building owners to meet the terms of system manufacturers warranty requirements. Our surveyors inspect the entire roof area documenting and photographing all observed defects and noting areas of concern.
specialist survey
Using state of the art drainage inspection equipment to identify damages, blockages and general condition in both residential and commercial properties. Our surveyors use CCTV equipment to get a close-up view of precisely what issues may be accumulating in drains and, if required, sewers.
Drone shot 4
Drone technology allows you to gain views of your buildings that no so long ago were not that easy to gain. A drone survey is quick, and cost-effective. Everlast work with CAA-licensed drone pilots to chart the course and make sure you obtain information essential to the continued protection of your buildings/project terrain and timely remediation of building issues.
electronic survey

Everlast offers two test types for leak detection for flat and low-pitched roofs: The wet test and the dry test. Wet testing is conducted with the Buckleys WR10 Wet Roof Leak Detector to identify defects and locate leaks in exposed membranes or ballasted systems. Dry testing (Buckleys D44 PHD 2-40 Roofing Kit) is a quicker test to identify defect such as pinholes and punctures.

infrared
When you need a comprehensive understanding of roof performance (defects such as damaged insulation and leaks) and/or predictive maintenance requirements, Everlast Infrared Surveys give a detailed report of where the problems lie. We use FLIR ThermaCAM® P60 Infrared Cameras for the survey and produce detailed reports with thermal images, digital images, and our analysis and recommendations.
Specialist surveys worker
A Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) survey uses pulsed laser light for remote sensing of surfaces. It provides millions of individual survey points to create a point cloud and is increasingly used in BIM practices in construction. Everlast works with highly qualified surveyors to employ the LiDAR technique when you require a complete picture for land surveying, structural analysis, or in the creation of BIM-mandated projects.
Moisture
Repair and replacement costs can run high for ballasted and multiple construction roofs unless you can gain a detailed understanding of the roof condition. Everlast uses the Troxler RoofReader™ Roof Moisture Gauge (model 3216) to map hydrogen concentrations within the roofing structure. We then convert the raw data produced into an AutoCAD® map of moisture penetration inside the roof system.
Simulated Rain Test
The most frequent and potentially damaging external influence on the integrity of a roof during its lifetime is rain. Everlast enables you to understand more about both the nature and impacts of the threat and the actions you can take to minimise them.

What our customers say…

Everlast were responsive throughout the tender process
and in the pre-construction phase. Everlast worked
collaboratively with both CBRE and our mutual client to ensure
any queries or requirements were met.
Everlast completed this project to a high standard, all
operatives on site were a pleasure to work with, they had
a can do attitude delivering a project in difficult
circumstances, nothing was too much for them.
Mark Davies (Everlast Rail) the contracts manager ensured that works
were carried out to a high standard and kept myself up
to date all the way throughout the works coming up with
solutions to any issues which did arise.
John Duffy – Senior Project Manager, CBRE GWS

I’ve worked with Everlast for the last 15 years on several projects but in particular at Manchester Arndale. Everlast have undertaken a significant number of projects for us from ah hoc repairs through to complex over roofing / roof replacement projects with values of over £1.5M. I’ve always found Everlast to be very competent, works are always completed to an excellent standard, on time and to budget and we regularly have very positive client feedback. I would happy recommend Everlast to others and look forward to working with them on future projects.

Robert Critchley, Director - Building Consultancy, JLL

I have been working with Everlast for circa 20 years, on a wide range of projects across numerous sectors.  This includes large shopping centres, retail parks, logistic units and offices.  I’ve always found they approach a scheme with a ‘can do attitude’, and of equal importance in a professional and competent manner.  I enjoy working with them and often collaborate due to their market leading knowledge.

Jonathan Wiedemann, Head of Building Consultancy – North JLL

Everlast have taken the role of Principal Contractor on a number of key projects for Jones Hargreaves clients since we set up our business in 2009.  This has included large scale re-roofing and cladding projects for the Duchy of Lancaster, Towngate Plc and large pension funds but also smaller scale roofing projects for local and private clients.  Procurement routes have included single and two stage tendering and negotiation depending on the client’s requirements.

We consistently find that working with Everlast is a positive experience for us and for our clients and their tenants.  It is clear that a lot of effort and skill is put into the pre-construction phases where detailed design, planning and, crucially, health and safety matters are fully considered and given the time to ensure that the project begins and runs smoothly.  There are, as with any project, times when things don’t go to plan on site but we continue to be impressed by how such issues are taken care of by senior management and site teams.

It is almost always the case that our clients and their tenants have very positive things to say about Everlast and their people once a project has been completed successfully.
