Passive Fire Protection

The responsibility for ensuring the installation and regular inspection of Passive Fire Protection (PFP) lies with designers at the moment of inception of a project. Thereafter building owners, managers and occupiers are required to conduct regular fire assessment reviews. Everlast focuses on every area where PFP is a concern; fire-rated board and cladding, cavity barriers, linear gap seals, and core structural elements.

Risk mitigation

The importance of passive fire protection is the principal agenda item for every designer, contractor, building owner, and — more than ever before — occupier. Façade cladding is characterised by high risks and Everlast is dedicated to ensuring that these risks are addressed in every phase of façade provision, regardless of its intended purpose of the building lifecycle phase at which it is introduced or replaced and refurbished.

Facade solutions

On a basic level, a Louvre is used for ventilation. Air passes through it but water and other external elements do not. From an architectural perspective, a Louvre can be an integral feature in the look and aesthetics of the building. Everlast helps you get that balance right, between function and form; from high performance (for rooms where machinery functions) to occupier comfort, protection, and delight.
In addition to the specification and installation of rainscreen cladding, Everlast can work with you through to the next stage of the face — its finish. This is the role of thin coat insulated render; both a part of multi facades and for entire facades. We will recommend the optimum rendering products for your purposes and apply within your timeframe. All you’ll need to do is admire the final finish.
If your project requires a fresh approach to the façade — for renovation or the replacement of damaged structures — Everlast offers a complete service for stripping the old façade back to the frame. This can be a complex process in instances when the as-built drawings are not available. We will survey the as-is structure and create the design, accompanied by appropriate specifications, for the new façade. We underate all demolition, reconfirmation, and replacement.
Every building requires robust weatherproofing for protection against external and internal moisture, against cavity ingress from harsh weather elements, and providing longer life for the backing wall. Performance is critical but Everlast makes sure that weather resistance also combines with the visual impact of the cladding. From design to installation (including the steel framing system) we provide solutions bespoke to your requirements; expert installers, sustainable solutions, and peace of mind that, once installed, risks of water/moisture penetration are minimised.
As part of works to the full façade, Everlast also carry out the glazed exterior elements where specific attention must be paid to the interface of the cladding and glazing. By using our full envelope service, our clients minimise their costs and streamline the construction process. Our design and install team coordinate the design and installation through to completion working closely with our approved supply chain.
